With stunning, year-round views and prime river access, Plum Lazy is nestled on three partially-wooded acres sloping gently to the water’s edge. Enjoy 150 feet of private shoreline with a large, landscaped expanse of grass perfect for play, picnics, or just shady naps.

A rocky peninsula with firepit extends your riverfront another 100 feet into the Potomac. It’s a great place to launch the kayaks and canoe that are available for your use.

The vintage mobile home has been completely renovated inside. Besides the brand new, spacious kitchen, you’ll find two bedrooms, two full baths, and a large living/dining area with wood-burning fireplace.

The large deck and stone patio features a variety of seating options, gas grill, and dining area.

It’s just a 5-mile drive to quaint and charming Shepherdstown, and 10 miles to fascinating Harpers Ferry. History lovers will appreciate the close proximity to Antietam Battlefield, Harpers Ferry National Park, and many other Civil War sights. Fantastic hiking, river rafting, and biking along the C&O Canal await the adventurer.

Within a 10 mile radius you’ll find plenty of options for groceries, shopping, and dining.

Plum Lazy is in a secluded neck-o-the-woods with limited cell coverage. We have Wi-Fi internet that’s good enough for streaming Netflix, etc. on the Roku TV, but it’s only moderately fast and there are occasional outages.

Absolutely lovely cottage on the Potomac River for our cozy winter getaway. Beautifully decorated along with all the amenities/conveniences you’d ever need. It was quiet and restful—just what I was looking for. I was inside by the fire while my son did a little fishing in the Potomac. I imagine it is really lovely during the warmer months. Looking forward to coming back.

At the risk of encouraging other to stay here and not being able to book a room here in the future, If you are going anywhere near Harper’s Ferry, do yourself a favor and stay here. The host was really a host family. They were very helpful but not obtrusive. They answered all our questions and treated us like old family friends. We rented the family suite which comprised of a master bedroom and bath, a breakfast nook and a bedroom with two twin beds. This was absolutely the perfect setup for a family getaway. We were able to close off our family suite from the rest of the house and we were able to have privacy from each other. The finishes were better than shown in the photos. Everyone loved the four poster bed and the artwork. The property was quiet in the day and especially in the evening. It is located in close proximity to the historic lower town. We went for a hike on the overlook trail. We walked from the Inn, through town and up to Maryland Heights. We told our hosts about our hiking plans and they insisted that we call them to come get us at the end of the hike. They showed up like clockwork and picked us up when we were ready. MAN WAS THAT AWESOME! There is no way Holiday Inn is doing that. We were exhausted at the end of the hike and the ride was like seeing a life-raft. The host was even looking for other people to give a ride as we drove up the long hill in style. They are really nice helpful people. While we did not have time, the host also gives bike tours with the E-Bikes which will pull you up that big hill. We are definitely coming back to Haprer’s Ferry and will not stay anywhere else. Oh yeah, the breakfast was perfect.
