Entry Foyer and Lounge
Upon entering the front door of our Shepherdstown WV Bed and Breakfast, you will be in the large entry foyer of the Inn. To the left as you enter, you will find our “Civil War Lounge”. This is a bright, comfortable room in which to read our historic books and other materials available, play a game of cards, chess or checkers, enjoy your beverage of choice, or just rest and relax.
The Parlor
Across the hall from the lounge, on the right as you enter the Inn, you will find the large dining parlor. This room has a comfortable sitting area in front of the working fireplace to relax, read or converse, and two dining tables upon which to enjoy a beverage, meal, or game. Coffee, tea, sherry, and various other hot and cold beverages and snacks are available here throughout the day, all year long. The dining parlor is where a light breakfast buffet is served daily, and an expanded breakfast is served for our guests in the month of July when Shepherdstown hosts the Contemporary American Theater Festival.
The Library & Upstairs Porch
Upstairs, located near the back of the inn, is our library where, in addition to books and magazines, you will find a retro style guest refrigerator containing various refreshments. The library also provides access to the back porch, where guests are welcome to relax and enjoy the outdoors. From the porch enjoy views into the gardens. The stairway from the porch will allow you to access the gardens and the parking area.

We are very convenient to exploring all the shops and sites in Shepherdstown, including Shepherd University and the C&O Towpath. Additionally, there are fifteen locally-owned restaurants within four blocks of the Inn.
You can park your car in our private lot and walk everywhere in town.
We are four miles from Antietam Battlefield.
The Finest Amenities
Every guest bathroom provides Beekman 1802 liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. and lotion. We also provide make-up remover, tissues, shower caps, blow dryer, soft bathmats and thick towels. If you require additional items, we will do our best to provide them to you.
Our bedsheets and pillows are COMPHY brand, providing a soft and luxurious comfort for your night’s sleep.
Super soft bath robes are available for your use during your stay.
Bottled water is provided in all rooms.
Free Parking
Enter the Inn from our private back parking lot, up the back porch staircase and through the library door, or walk around front to the main door. Both entry doors, main front and upstairs back, have coded entries so you may come and go as you please. Note: All guest rooms are on the 2nd floor, and require stairs to access.
Bicycle Racks & Storage
We have secure bicycle racks, bicycle washing facilities, and a shoe-dryer for bicyclist’s use. You may also store your bicycles in our basement, if desired. We are located within a half-mile of stop 72.7 on the C&O Towpath.

Free WiFi is available throughout the entire Inn. While leaving work behind is always the dream, we know sometimes it’s necessary. Connect from any room.
