A timeless beauty…

Guests will appreciate the history of the inn while also enjoying the modern and comfortable conveniences of today. Under new ownership, the inn has just undergone renovations showcasing the historic doors and windows, trim and crown moldings, hardwood floors, curved banister and wide hallways of a bygone era.

The building dates back to 1868 and was established as the Thomas Shepherd Inn in 1984 by local residents, Ed and Carol Ringoot. The Inn has served the area as a charming Shepherdstown Bed and Breakfast ever since. This lovely home is a graceful and timeless beauty, with a peaceful aura all its own.

Start your day…

Breakfast is served in the main dining parlor. With so many interesting things to see and do around the area, we want our guests to be able to plan their own schedules, not be confined to ours. At 8 a.m. fresh locally roasted Black Dog coffee is brewed and the tea buffet is set out. There’s also a Keurig which we will keep ready-to-run for hot beverages throughout the day. You will have a choice of a breakfast buffet of fruit, yogurt, and pastries from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m., or a hot, sit-down breakfast which will be served from 9 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
